Pharmasave partners with Carlton Cards to support Alzheimer’s Society

This September marked the 9th anniversary of World Alzheimer’s Month and Pharmasave was proud to partner with Carlton Cards to support people living with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia and to raise awareness and challenge the stigma that surrounds dementia. In Canada, there are over 564,000 Canadians living with dementia and 25,000 new cases are diagnosed every year.
During the month of September, Pharmasave stores received tremendous support from their customers who purchased greeting cards, where proceeds went to the Society with every card purchased. “Funds raised will be instrumental in supporting Alzheimer Society programs and services for people affected by dementia in communities across Canada, as well as enabling research into the causes of and cure for the disease,” says Cathryn France, Director of Resource Development for the Alzheimer Society of BC.
Pharmasave is proud to present a donation of $10,000 to the Alzheimer Societies across Canada.
Pharmasave teams across Canada were pleased to show their support for people living with Alzheimers and dementia and to help with the investment in important research to find causes and a cure for this disease.
